This InvArch Weekly is important. There are some key information updates that everyone interested in InvArch should make sure they catch up on. Let’s get to it!

Technology

Some significant updates are being made to the naming conventions utilized within the InvArch protocol and its code.

As the graphic above shows, there have been some changes made. To avoid any confusion, this article is going to break down these changes. It’s truly important that all readers become familiar with the terms below.

  1. IP Files (IPFs): IP stored as non-fungible & authenticated files. These were originally called IP Tokens; however, this change has been made to reflect a more fitting description of the data being minted. IP Files, as they will be known moving forward, are indexed and cross-referenced against other IPFs to ensure authenticity and/or detect plagiarism.
  2. IP Sets (IPS): Collections of IP Files stored together in bonded sets. There is no change here, and IP Sets as they were known before stay the same.
  3. IP Tokens (IPTs): Fungible tokens featuring programmable utility that are pegged to an IP Set (IPS). We apologize in advance, as IP Tokens were originally referenced as the individual IP Files; however, this change has been made to reflect a more fitting description for the tokens that are pegged to an IPS. What was once known as IPOwnership tokens (IPO) is no more, and will instead be referenced as IPTs moving forward.
  4. IP Modules (IPMs): A series of custom & interdependent Substrate Pallets that provide IP functionality to integrated Parachains. This is a fairly new term to become familiar with. IPMs will allow other Parachains to expand to include IP functionality; but more importantly, IPFs that are minted this way will have a record of their data sent through the Polkadot relay where they will be indexed and cross-referenced for authenticity.
  5. InvArch Validation Standard (IVS): A cross-chain standard for IP tokenization, ownership, utility, and authentication. IVS can be viewed as an L0 standard for verifying & protecting the uniqueness of all digital assets throughout web 3.0. Whether they are code modules, music files, Whitepapers, or even other NFTs, they can be minted as IPFs and have their data fingerprint indexed, cross-referenced, and protected forever.

As time is available, time will be spent going back and correcting/updating the InvArch documentation, Medium Articles, and other channels of posted information to reflect these changes.

There have already been hundreds upon hundreds of applications sent in to join the InvArch Ambassador Program. Just a reminder to the community to please be patient if you have applied and are anxious to hear back 😄

Also, have you heard? Our InvArchitects — Dakota (Founder), Gabriel (Co-Founder), and Casey (Community Manager) will be hosting an AMA in the InvArch community Discord! Mark your calendars for December 16th @ 10 PM UTC/ 5 PM EST! See you there: http://discord.gg/invarch

Finance

Stay tuned to the InvArch Twitter (https://twitter.com/invarchnetwork)! Announcements regarding our partners and supporters are going to start rolling out soon!

We would also like to note that the team is no longer accepting any offers to contribute to the seed round. The round has officially closed, and while we appreciate the continued interest, we ask those individuals to hang tight for now. One final strategic funding round is planned for the future, and we would love to talk to interested parties at that time!

Conclusion

Big updates regarding the names and terminology used within the InvArch tech stack. IP Files, IP Sets, IP Tokens, IP Modules, and the InvArch Validation Standard. The Ambassador Program is open again and BOOMING. It’s an exciting time for InvArch 🚀
